Update: Scottish Cup Quarter Final draw

As most of you probably already know, the draw for the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup takes place atHampden this afternoon, quite possibly behind closed doors, and right in the middle of Bargain Hunt.

With only eight teams left in the competition - including a healthy smattering of First division sides - the 'Big Boys' of Scottish football will be hoping to avoid a tricky away-day to some far-flung corner of the empire, where the chances of things going horribly wrong make for an exciting evening in front of the wireless.

Dundee against Dundee United (or Ross County) would be a cracking tie, as would Rangers (sponge ball) against Celtic (pricky ball); Kilmarnock against pretty much anyone else would be affa grim, while anyone getting Aberdeen would probably be quite chuffed, given their record in Cup competitions lately.

Here's our prediction then (and this is completely off the top of our heads by the way - all disclaimers apply if this turns out to be 100% accurate)

Ross County v Dundee United
Kilmarnock v Hibs
Celtic v Dundee
St Mirren/Rangers v Raith Rovers/Aberdeen

Update

Well, I wasn't that far off, if getting every single one wrong is what could be called 'not that far off'.

The full, proper draw is as follows:

St Mirren/Rangers v Dundee United
Hibernian v Ross County
Kilmarnock v Celtic
Dundee v Raith/Aberdeen

The games will be played over the weekend of 13/14 March.
