A team that could finally (and we really do mean finally) seal their promotion is Livingston. They've been doing their utmost to make sure they finally claim the championship at home; in the past few weeks they've failed to win the league away at Forfar and Berwick. This week they face Berwick, again, and this time at the Almondvale - can they finally win it now?
The Scottish First Division
Inverness can take a step closer back to the SPL with a win over Dunfermline Athletic. Dundee, once odds-on favourites to be promoted are now some way off the pace, seven points behind; the Dee take on Morton in Greenock. Ayr have a trip to west-Glasgow and Partick Thistle, while Queen of the South take on losing Scottish Cup semi-finalists Raith Rovers.
It's funny how both halves of the Scottish Cup final pairing dropped points at the weekend. Dundee United drew 0-0 with Rangers (perfectly acceptable), while Ross County drew with Morton (slightly less acceptable). It's possibly fatigue setting in, so an away trip to bottom side Airdrie is just what the Ross County's doctor ordered. But Derek Adams should be wary: Airdrie beat Raith Rovers 3-0 on Wednesday to put them closer in touch with 9th-placed Ayr United, who lost 2-1 at home to Dunfermline. They're still eight points from avoiding a play-off game and with an easier run-in than Ayr, they might pull it off.
The Scottish Second Division
Stirling Albion are firmly back in the play-off places thanks to their 6-2 thumping of Brechin on Wednesday, one of three games in four days, the other two of those coming against Arbroath (a 4-2 win and a 2-2 draw). Leaders Alloa are eight points clear at the top; plenty of buffer between them and Stirling, even after a surprising 3-2 defeat against Brechin last Saturday. The Wasps are at home to Dumbarton. Third placed Cowdenbeath take on Arbroath, while Brechin welcome East Fife to Glebe Park.
These four teams will probably make up the play-off teams, though Peterhead, who face a trip to pretty much already relegated Clyde, can put themselves amongst the contenders with a win and a Brechin loss.
The Scottish Third Division
Like we said earlier on, Livingston can finally take the title with a draw against Berwick. Of the remaining teams, Albion Rovers are probably on the fringes of making it to the play-offs - they're four points off fourth place, where Queens Park, their opponents tomorrow, are sitting. Second placed Forfar are at home to local rivals Montrose, the team currently propping up the Third division. One place further down at number 3 are East Stirling who are at home to 11th-placed Elgin City. In a largely meaningless fixture, Annan and Stranraer play the last of tomorrows games
The Highland League
In an incredibly tight Highland League, Buckie Thistle are leading the way, clear of defending champions Cove Rangers (the only team in the league yet to lose at home) by two points. Third placed Fraserburgh lost 4-0 at home to Inverurie on Wednesday, but together with Deveronvale (who thumped new-boys Strathspey Thistle 5-0 at the weekend) these four teams are drifting away from the rest of the league.
The weekend fixtures look like this:
Formartine Utd v Inverurie Locos
Forres Mechanics v Strathspey Thistle
Fraserburgh v Buckie Thistle
Huntly v Fort William
Turriff United v Deveronvale
Wick Academy v Cove Rangers (Sunday)
